LEGO Batman on Switch 2 gets launch date and exclusive minifigure

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on Switch 2 will receive an exclusive minifigure and launch on the same day as the Mayhem Collection DLC.

Switch 2 owners may have been feeling a bit left out of late, what with TT Games’ LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight having been released on every major platform other than Nintendo’s console. That's all due to change in just a few short months' time though with the arrival of a very special version of the smash hit video game.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will finally launch on Switch 2 on September 18, 2026, in both Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition flavours. What’s more, those who pre-order the latter from today or purchase a physical copy on release day will also receive an exclusive LEGO Retro Video Game Batman minifigure (while stocks last).

Batman The Video Game

That minifigure represents an unlockable purple pixelated outfit in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight that is a nod to Batman: The Video Game, a title that was released by Sunsoft on the NES in 1989, and can be obtained by players who successfully complete the ‘Mimes’ story mission.

In addition to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight arriving on Switch 2, the game releases on the same date as the Mayhem Collection. The upcoming DLC will allow gamers to play as The Joker and Harley Quinn in Mayhem Mode and cause all kinds of havoc in Gotham City via a new story mission.

The Mayhem Collection also comes with the Sinister Pack, which consists of a new outfit for each of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight's seven existing playable characters, as well as five extra Batcave items and an additional Batmobile for gamers to add to their Batcave garage.

All Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition will also receive The Dark Knight Returns outfit as an additional bonus incentive and those who link their game to a Warner Bros. account can get a free Golden Age Batsuit too.

What’s more, those who already own the Standard Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on any of the currently-supported platforms can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for £21.99 / $24.99 to gain the Legacy Collection right away and the Mayhem Collection on September 18.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is available to purchase as a Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam right now. Both formats of the TT Games title can also be pre-ordered on Nintendo Switch 2 from today, ahead of the title’s release on the console come September 18, 2026.
